Ontario's Feed In Tarrif ( FIT )

The Government of Ontario's Green Energy Act has provided for one of North America's first and highest Feed In Tariff ( FIT ) programs, guaranteeing a high purchase price for electricity generated by Renewable Energy, and a 20-year contract at that price.

The FIT program has advantageous rates for Ground-mounted wind and solar systems and Roof Mounted Solar arrays, causing many building owners to consider either :

  • leasing their unused and unprofitable roof space for the installation of a high-earning solar array
  • owning the array themselves and earning a significant income for the next 40 years or more

HPG Energy Parks and Mini Energy Parks in Ontario will generally operate under FIT's -providing a guaranteed high level of income for at least 20 years.
