Deutsche Bank Publishes Climate Change Report   Renewable Energy World, 24 October 2008

"Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) has published a research paper arguing that the accelerating pace of global warming will force governments to invest more heavily in climate change mitigation and adaptation despite the financial setbacks of the current market crash"

As governments become more aware of their responsibilities in mitigating climate change, and as fossil fuels become scarcer, the Renewable Energy sector will increasingly become the place where smart money goes for growth.  Please Contact our Financial Department for an explanation of the income potential, or to inquire about presently available investments.

Planet Earth Magazine

This is an interesting and unique book commissioned by the United Nations Energy Security Council (UNESCO).

Even though we do not normally do printed media advertising, this publication espouses a planetary initiative which we feel may have a broader appeal and lead to the broader opportunity to reach the decision makers who can ultimately change the face of the planet we live on.

Our advertisement is on page 136, and you can reach it by using your mouse to 'turn the pages'.

According to the puslisher, around the start of September, 2008, the publication was mailed out to :

  • CEO, VP, Senior VP, and all EXEC titled individuals at all of the Fortune 500 companies.
  • All members of US Congress
  • All members of Canadian Parliament
  • All Canadian and US investment firms and the leadership of all North American Banks.
  • All leadership members of the press, television, radio and printed media, including all major North American Newspapers.

$45 trillion 'revolution' against warming urged   Renewable Energy World, 6 June 2008
International Energy Agency: Oil use, CO2 gases 'clearly not sustainable'

"TOKYO - The world needs to invest $45 trillion in energy in coming decades, building some 1,400
nuclear power plants and vastly expanding wind power, in order to halve greenhouse gas emissions by
2050, according to an energy study released Friday."

Clearly, Renewable Energy is going to be a major factor in solving the planet's environmental troubles as well as the world's looming energy shortage.

Renewable Energy Investors Needed   Investeco Newsletter, June 2008

INVESTECO, Canada's first Environmental Investment Company ( www.investeco.com ) , in their June newsletter commented upon the  International Energy Agency ( IEA ) report quoted above.

According to Investeco, "  This $45 trillion will be needed, says the IEA, in part to fund the construction, each year until 2050, of 17,500 new wind turbines and 215 million m2 of solar panels. The goal of this investment would be to triple the share that renewable energy sources make up of total energy production by 2050. "

Stocks that make others green with envy The Toronto Star , 24 Jan 2008

Investment can mean putting your money to work to make more money, or it can mean investing in the infrastructure to make your enterprise more profitable or cost effective.  This article points out that either way, Renewable Energy companies and products should be receiving your attention.

Energy minister dismisses clean coal idea The Toronto Star , 13apr2006

Ontario's Electricity supply shortfall remains a hot topic.

" Coal powers nearly one-fifth of Ontario's electricity supply but Dwight Duncan said the province's four remaining coal plants will be closed... The Ontario government has already had to push back its target date to close all remaining coal-fired plants by two years to 2009. That's because not enough replacement power is expected to come on stream by that time to meet rising demand"

A wakeup Call - meeting the oil depletion challenge Energy Today , March-April 2006

The end of easy availability of fossil fuels makes Renewable Energy even more important.

" We must recognize the limits of our fossil fuel reserves and begin to push for rapid growth in solar energy. For the first time in history, all of humanity will share the same problem. This common challenge can help unify us, to recognize the futility of war and to make governments more responsive to our needs "

Electricity Swapping Gets Easier The Toronto Star , 12nov2005

Cameron Smith reports on the Ontario Ministry of Energy's announcement of changes to the rules under which electricity may be sold back to 'the grid'.

" Last week, Ontario Energy Minister Donna Cansfield announced the province had revised its net metering rules. Net metering allows consumers, especially farmers, to swap electricity with the distribution company that sells power to them.

The electricity they swap must come from renewable sources, such as small hydro projects, wind turbines, solar installations or biomass conversion (as with a biodigester for manure and farm waste). "

Ontario to Promote Clean Power   The Toronto Star , 22Aug2005

"Ontario would become the first province in Canada, and possibly the largest jurisdiction in North America, to open its electricity system to small suppliers of renewable energy and pay a premium on each kilowatt of clean electricity it purchases."

"There's no question if the Ontario ministry of energy puts in feed-in laws, that puts out a powerful signal saying
we're in this for the long haul," said Sean Whittaker, policy director for the Canadian Wind Energy Association.
"We're very much in support of it."
